Dani
and Patty were waiting so much for this and finally
they have it in their hands. Yes, it's The Good
German DVD. This movie was supposed to be released
on theaters here but they cancelled it. Unfortunately
it wasn't very successful in the US, so probably
they thought it was better to release it on DVD
only. I don't mind and if you think well, it's
not the type of movie everyone likes, you know?
It's about war... black and white... filmed like
the noir movies of the 40's... I think just a
specific kind of people would really appreciate
it.
The shootings were cool. Working with Steven Soderberg,
George Clooney and Cate Blanchett was a privilege.
Hmm... kicking George was a privilege too. As
my sis would say "Spider-Man kicks Batman's
ass!". Haha!
There was a complaint from Dani and Patty though.
Spoiler warning: Patrick Tully, my character,
dies in the movie. 20 minutes after the start.
When I read the script I was like "Damn...
they're not gonna like this..." but what
could I do? But it was a no-drama death. They
didn't show it, Tully simply showed up floating
in a river. But I had to play dead when they took
me out of there. The girls said I didn't really
look like a dead person. No blood, no missing
parts of my body... haha! Nice, so they didn't
feel bad.
Even though they complained... they had a nice
surprise too: Tully dates Lena (Cate's character)
and since Tully is sort of a bad guy... and Lena
is a hooker... they had a love scene. I won't
give the details here, but it wasn't a real love
scene. Just a love-making scene. Haha! Lena was
there, on the bed, feeling nothing while Tully
was the one who was having
fun. And probably feeling like he's THE guy!
Hahaha! But no matter what, Patty loved it, so
did Dani. Sis said she can't watch it without
feeling her cheeks blush. How cute! Also, Dani
liked the fact the first thing I said on the movie
was a German phrase. "Herzliches Willkommen
nach Berlin!". Tully was just cordially welcoming
George's character to the city. But with no good
intentions of course.
Playing a bad guy after playing a good one like
Peter Parker was a nice change. I hope there'll
be more roles like that. I've been working on
some stuff and they all promise good roles. Let's
see what will happen!
