I'm
not much of a writer. Never wrote anything like
this in my life. But since my sister Dani did this
for me, let's give it a try.
You know who I am (no pun intended). But what you
don't know is that I arrived in Brazil around the
end of October 2005. A long time ago. Believe it
or not, I was tired of my life there in the US and
decided to give it a break. It turned out to be
a long one. But I don't care. I like this country,
I like the people and I like the food. I have a
sister here. And a fiancé. Yes, I'm engaged,
can you believe that? I never imagined I would be,
at least not in another country, to someone no one
would ever think of. And that's how I like it.
I can walk the streets peacefully. Not all the time,
of course, but I can go grab a coffee without people
buggin' me. No, I don't miss LA. I don't miss Beverly
Hills. I don't miss Santa Monica. There's a bit
of all those places here and I've been there. Love
them!
I like my normal life now. Being a celebrity is
not as fun. I have my privacy and I have fun. The
only things I miss a little are Lakers games and
Poker tournaments. But nothing to worry about. I
can watch them on TV. As for Poker, I'm still trying
to make my sister learn how to play. I told her
I would teach her (and she would have the best teacher
in the world! Haha!) but she keeps saying she doesn't
like card games. But I'll convince her, sooner or
later.
Besides, I have a new sport to entertain myself
now. Soccer. I never cared for it but it started
to sound interesting since the 2006 World Cup took
place in Germany. My sister is crazy about the National
German team and now I think I admire them too. Well,
after watching all the games... and wearing the
shirt
she bought me, how not to? Haha!
There's so much to tell and I'll do it brick by
brick. (No pun intended... again!). |

March
19, 2007 - The Tobey Maguire Doll |
 |
 |
 |
 |
 |
My
sister and my fiancé are doll collectors
and I got used to that. I'm not fond of dolls, of
course, but I have to admit I learned a lot about
them. Well, you know this year is the year of Spider-Man
3 (therefore, the year I have to hide away very
well. Haha!). So, my sister is quite excited (very
excited, I may say) about a particular doll that
is coming out soon. If you guess, you guessed it
right. Spider-Man 3 dolls. But the matter is that
it won't be an action figure. I'm used to them and
they're ok. It will be a... doll. She told me that
the company who will make it and the entire collection
is called Tonner Doll Company and it's famous for
making big fashion dolls (think bigger than Barbie).
She has a bunch of them and my fiancé has
a big bunch of them too. Dani is crazy and anxious
'cos Tonner is the company she likes the most AND
it's gonna make a Peter
Parker and a Spider-Man doll based... on me!
She told me she wrote them a year ago asking for
Spidey 3 dolls based on the real actors. Now...
she's got it! Incredible customer service, don't
you think? Haha! She's freaking out 'cos it's like
a dream come true for her. The poor thing is almost
desperate. I can't help her. She tells me "Do
you know what it means to me? Can you imagine how
it feels like??? No, I guess you can't...".
I'm sorry Dani, I really can't. But I'm happy that
this guy Robert Tonner listened to you and that
he was able to get Sony's license. Way to go!
As far as I know, there'll be 2 dolls at first.
"Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker in Spider-Man
3" and Spidey himself. But I think there'll
be more to come. I'm a little bit (just a little
bit) curious to see how MJ and Harry will look like. |
